HANOI, March 21 — Vietnam is seeking its third president in little more than a year after its ruling Communist Party on Wednesday forced the resignation of Vo Van Thuong, who was only elected last year after the sudden dismissal of his predecessor.

HANOI, Jan 18 — Vietnamese Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan was named as the acting president on Wednesday, a day after former president Nguyen Xuan Phuc resigned, the official Vietnam News Agency reported.
